Akiko Goto, one of the competitors in the women's curry-udon competition, is having a hard time keeping up with the clock. She's been trying to eat until 3pm, but she can't do it anymore. Kikuko Aoba, another competitor, asks her if she's quitting before she does something "disgraceful." Goto says that if she loses, she'll be disgraced, but if she wins, he'll eat all of her food for her. He says that he's the only competitor left, and that he has to "chew until the end."
