In this chapter, we learn that one of the members of the five-star gang, known as "the five stomach stars," has been eating porridge, a dish that is a staple in the cuisine of the island of Taipei. The porridge has been found on the temple roof and a picture of the man has been passed out in his pocket. We learn that the man, named "chang," has eaten fifty bowls of porridge and that his opponent was a white man with a scar to his left cheek.
