About This Chapter
The monk stomps stomp stomps on the table, trying to get the monk to stop eating so badly. The monk tells the monk that he's there to help him, but the monk doesn't believe him. He thinks the monk's eating is crooked, because the monk chopped the meat into small pieces and then ate them all at once. He's not sure if the monk will win because of this, but he does believe that the monk is a good eater. He asks the monk for one more bite of the meat, and the monk says he'll have it ready for him the next day. When the monk asks if he knows the time, the monk tells him to just keep his stomach empty. He says he might eat breakfast if he knew the time was right, but since he can't, he won't eat it. He wants to know why the monk has come to watch him eat, since the monk promised he'd be forced out of the place if he didn't change his eating habits. But the monk assures him that there's nothing he can do to stop him from coming to the place with an eating contest, since it's just like any other restaurant. The point of the eating contest is to see who can eat the fastest. If the monk wins, he can eat whatever he likes at the restaurant, but if he loses, he has to erase all of his "graffiti" and never come back. But if he wins, then he has 300,000 yen, which he plans to use to buy the monk some more food.
