In this chapter, we learn that torikai has won the battle of the big eaters. He has eaten seven bowls, while mantaro has eaten just one bowl. The two men discuss the matter of whether or not to continue the fight, and they decide to open a new restaurant in order to compete with the other big eaters in the area. When they open the restaurant, mantaro tells us that there is a man named Torikai there, but that he has just left the area and signed a contract with an agent.
