About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a description of a booby trap, which has been set up to trap Hiroshi and his men. When one of the men opens the trap, the whole place is blown up. Hiroshi asks if he has been following the group ever since they left the zip-line, and the man replies that he has, but that he couldn't "avenge hosho" . He also says that the booby traps have a delayed timer, which means that if the men emerge from the trap without being seen by anyone, they can enter the base undetected. He adds that another manhole has also been set into the sewers to make the men think they have gone down a manhole in the first one. He then asks Mina to take him along with them to investigate the man. Mina says that she has already asked Hiroshi about the man, and Hiroshi says that he hasn't heard anything from him. Mina then asks to be taken to Mishiro Mishiro Academy, where the school newspaper club is located. Mina wonders if she should take Hiroshi, Asada, and Tachikawa home with her, but she says she doesn't need them. She then asks the archery club to give her a bow so she can use it as a weapon against the enemy.
