In this chapter, the protagonist attempts to break through the five-minute time limit. He tries to convince himself that it is impossible, but he cannot, for the enemy is within the factory. He tells the protagonist to surround the factory with police forces and to use the intel he received from kun to figure out the source of the enemy's infection. The protagonist realizes that the enemy has a blood-borne virus that was developed in the former soviet Union, and he is worried about how to stop the spread of the disease. He asks the protagonist if he would be able to stop him if he came into contact with others, and the protagonist tells him that he would. He also tells him to tell his sister not to worry, for she would not die even if the enemy killed her brother.
