The scene opens with a flashback to the first time the two of them went on a date together. The narrator tells us that Leo must have been "terribly angry" and "disgusted" by the break-up. He doesn't want her to find him or to see her. He'd still be a "shining idol," the narrator says, but the memories of their time together will fade away. She feels like she's "drowned in seawater" . She asks Leo if he's wearing makeup, and he says that he used to be a silly guy who used to put makeup on before telling her that he wanted to quit being "an idol" for her. She's not buying it, she says, and she wants to buy it herself. She wants to be treated like a "pervert" , so she asks Leo to stand in front of Leo and make him "regret breaking up" with her.
