The next morning, Miss Jessel meets with the other girls and tells them that she's been working very hard on her health. She's even managed to keep her weight down to 45 pounds, which is a big accomplishment. She tells the girls that she wants to see Jessel everyday, and she hopes that he'll tell her that he already has someone he likes. The girls agree that Jessel is doing very well, and they tell him that he has to protect his throat before the upcoming competition.
