When Lin learns that his son has been diagnosed with a life-threatening artery disease, he decides that it's best that he doesn't have any feelings for his son. He says that he's wronged his son too many times for selfish reasons, and that's why he can't take care of his son's feelings. Lin tells his father that the plan was to have his son come with them, but that his father wants him to stay with them instead. He tells his son that he can decide what he wants to do with his life, since his legs have become like this. Lin asks his father why he has to age so quickly, and his father says that his parents only brought him sorrow, because they didn't know how to love their own child. After a month, Lin is depressed, thinking that his ambition has been accepted into a university. He asks his mother to stop bothering him, and she says that she'll do so from now on. She tells him that he should grab all of his "prank toys" and "this crazy" and drive off all his teachers. He finally finds her, and he tells her that he still has something important to say to her.
