The chief director tells the candidates that they are not allowed to enter the theater, but one of them invites the chief director to come and help her dress for the competition. The chief refuses, saying that he cannot trust her with the clothes. He tells her to get out of the way before he gets angry, and she does so. They are approaching the props room, and the chief refuses to let them in. He says that he has a new job to do, and if he gets caught in the act, it will be very difficult to get it back. He promises to take a picture of the chief's face and run.
