Before they get off the train, Ren and Gao run into each other in the street. Ren tells Gao that she's so happy to have him back. He's always been there for her, even when he's been crying. He reminds her of her dad, who took her to see the snow for the first time in her life when she was a child. She remembers him dragging her outside to make a snowman one day, and how he used to make fun of her for being too tall for her family. She's happy to see her dad again, because she loves him so much that she can't imagine life without him. Gao runs on to tell Ren that he was once her crush, but he was too hard on her, and she fell in love with him later. She tells him that she loves his gentleness, and that he reminds her so much of her father. They run off to build a snowman together, and when they're done, Ren asks Gao if she needs her help. He tells her that he'll be there, too, and they'll have a great time together.
