In this chapter, we are introduced to the "weird uncle" . He is the boss of the company, and he is the one who pretends to be his "puppy" all the time. He tells us that he is coming to the end of his career, and that the company is going to have to go out of existence. He says that he has to pretend to work for the company all these years, because the General Manager is miserable. The General Manager, he says, is the only one who does not want to "pass out the most" , which is why he has been pretending to be the company's puppy for so many years. He asks if he is in a competition, and the general manager says he is. The general manager then asks the makeup artist if he can fix his makeup, but the weird uncle says he will not apologize for the short amount of time he has left.
