Lu fei asks why he hates Zhang so much. He tells her that he hates arrogant men like Zhang because if they hurt him, he'll pay them back. He'll make Zhang's life even worse than that of a dog, he tells her. She tells him that she can give him anything he wants, but that there's something more important to her than fame and money. She begs him to come with them for further investigation, but he refuses, saying that it's impossible for him to be arrested for a crime he's not guilty of. He begs her to calm down, but she won't listen to him. She says that she doesn't want to explain what's going on to her, because she's afraid that she'll look like a fool if she does. She leaves.
