The next morning, Dong Le is still in the hospital, but he's happy to see his friend. He thanks him for saving the day, and tells him that he'll be back in a few days. He's also glad to see that he didn't sleep next to him and spray his face with a wet rag. The two of them talk about how awesome Lin Fan was, and how they're going to have to thank each other for saving their lives. They also talk about the fact that it's their birthday, and they've invited each other to their house for the first time. But now that Dong le's arriving, they'll have to pretend like they don't like each other. They're both worried about what will happen when they meet, but they decide to escape. They both say goodbye to each other, and dong Le says that he has a job offer in a big city, and he'd like to return to his hometown. He tells his friend that he doesn't want to leave, but that he can't bear to see him go, so he plans to go back to China.
