The next morning, Madame Pernelle arrives at the door of the apartment where she has been staying. She is greeted by Madame Lu, who tells her that she has come to see her and apologizes for her rudeness. Madame Lu explains that she is leaving the city because she is sick and cannot go to the mental rehabilitation center. She tells the Madame that she will be returning to the city soon. The Madame then leaves the apartment.
