In this short scene, we learn that the Miss World pageant is coming up in a month's time, and that gao ran will be competing against thousands of other girls from all over the world for the chance to be Miss World. Lu tells her mom that she's worried about the competition, but she assures her that she has a plan to win it. She also tells Lu that the doctor says that zhang yang doesn't have any life-threatening conditions, and he'll wake up soon. Lu teases her mom about how many people have been worrying about her lately, and how she has to thank Zhang for saving her life. Lu also tells her that the coach that Gao ran has been using to train him is a "reliable" coach, and she teases him that he's taller than she is. Lu is impressed by Lu's ability to flirt with men, and asks her to take a look at Gao's new clothes. Lu says that she can't believe how beautiful Gao is, and wonders what she should do to help her. She tells Lu to have some water, and then tells her to bring her catwalk later.
