Back at the shop, coach dennis asks Jack if he's happy to be a part of the movie. He's a huge fan of Ursula's book, which has been a huge hit with tourists. Coach dennis has been recruiting skaters ever since he retired. Jack is shocked by the evil that can be done by a small body, and he wants to know what happened to vincent so that he can get him back on his feet. Jack says that he doesn't see hope anymore, even if it means that the ripple of fate will lift him back up to the surface. Jack asks if he can see his mom, and she says that everything is set up for the day. Jack tells him that he needs to talk to roo, the guy who decides where they go during the day, so he can learn how to talk in the dictionary. He also says that if he needs money, he'll buy a new one.
