In this chapter, Dr. Rivers and Dr. Steyn discuss the events of the previous week. They hope that the young man will tell them what has happened to him. He has not spoken to his family for a week and has not shown any signs of mental illness. Dr Steyn wants to know if there is anything he can do to help. He suggests that they go back to old cases and look for evidence. The young man says that he has never seen his mother do anything like this before. He says that she probably had the same thought in her head as he does. He adds that if something like this ever happens again, he should think about whether or not he can avoid hitting people first. He tells Dr Steyn not to use violence when he has no other way to get out of a dangerous situation.
