Back at the hotel, Lockwood tries to convince Lockwood that he's overreacting when he says that Bryce's brother is an undercover cop. Lockwood admits that he did get the job, but that something "felt off" when he did his own "vetting" . He says that he didn't want to take the job on Bryce because he knew that Bryce was a cop, and that's why he wasn't able to take it on. He's not ready to leave yet, he says, because he needs to talk to Bryce about what's going on. Lockwood says that they need to talk because Bryce needs to know that the cop who killed his brother is also his boss. Lockwood wants to know why Lockwood got food poisoning, and Lockwood says it's because Bryce sent a message to the catering company refusing to hire Bryce. Lockwood is shocked that Bryce hasn't called him, because Bryce doesn't seem to care about him.
