One month later, the narrator tells us that she's contracted to kill her boss. She's so nervous that she doesn't even know what to say to her employer. The narrator is worried that her boss will kill her, but she also worries that she and her boss have broken up, and that he's still trying to get her to marry him. She decides to tell her employer the truth, and then she can move on with her life.
