In this chapter, we learn that the cops have become "fashionably crippled" , and that the two men have had a sexual encounter. We learn that this is the first time we've seen the two of them together, and it's clear that they're having an affair. The narrator tells us that he'll find a "dirty lawyer" once he's found one.
