About This Chapter
The next morning, Rainesix and Johnny talk. Johnny tells him that he recognizes his brother, who is busy with the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. He tells Johnny that he needs to spend time with him, especially if his brother is going to leave soon after the spill. He says that he'll make sure that he spends as much time with his brother as he can. He also says that they can reschedule any time they want, and he promises to be there if they need him. He asks Johnny if he needs anything before he leaves the house, and then asks him if he is serious about the whole thing. He's been on his feet ever since they got here, Johnny says, and promises to rest when he's dead. He doesn't know if RaineSix is his boyfriend or not, but he does know that he likes him a lot, and that they're going to end up together, even if they don't get along. He wants to know how the hell Johnny's going to tell him about the assassination, and if he can trust Johnny to tell the truth when he lies, he trusts Johnny. He wonders if Johnny will be able to explain that he didn't kill Kand because he was a traitor to his employer, and how Johnny plans to tell Kand about it when he tells him the truth about it later. He thinks Johnny is a terrible, horrible person, and says that everyone would have been better off if he had just swallowed his pride and left Italy. He thanks Johnny for saving his life
