In this chapter, we learn more about Vincente's history. He was wounded in the line of duty two years ago, and his uniform was stained with the blood of his comrades. Vincente tells us that he's sorry that Vincente is in such a bad condition, but that he has nothing to lose. He says that he can't stop Vincente from getting into his own way, and that's why he calls him a "little brother." Vincente says that his heart condition is fine, and he'll be fine.
