He apologizes to his aunt and says that a good painting should be judged by the following criteria: vividness, likeness, coloring, composition, and facsimile. He says that the painting is just like he expected, and that it is a setback for her. She is about to give birth to a baby boy, and she will not be able to have another child until she cures her infertility.
