In this chapter, we are introduced to the protagonist, a young doctor named Wencheng, who has just returned from treating a sick patient. The patient is a young boy, about the same age as the protagonist. He is complaining about his doctor's prescription, which he believes to be wrong. The doctor, however, does not believe the young man's complaint, and he prescribes the boy's medicines, which the boy takes for granted.
