The monk tells Ashina that he will kill tenka in order to prevent him from passing on the school of tendai to the next generation. Ashina says that she will kill the shogun and the Tokugawa clan because they have sown the seeds of destruction. She says that tenka is using her blood to perform a dream echo. She begs the clan to kill him, but they refuse.
