The priests ask the hannya if she knows the story of the rescue of the child. She replies that she does, and that she knows how to use the sword and the zen together. She asks if they can borrow their swords, and the priests answer that they only know how to teach the art of sword and zen. They will show the priests part of the art, and then they will be able to use their swords to rescue the women. The priests are confused, but they are able to figure out that the men are trying to kill them, and they decide to take the swords and use them to capture them.
