The brothel owner, Jinnemon, tells the audience that there are six noble girls in the group of eleven he has chosen. He tells them that the seamstress has written the word "hiding" on the door of the brothel, and that he has posted a lookout for the seamstress at the main entrance of the town. He says that if the seamstress does not come to him, he will sell her to the brothel owner. He adds that the girls will be frightened if they find out where they have been. He also says that guards have been posted around the town to keep the women from escaping.
