In this short scene, Toriyama explains that he is blind because he married the daughter of a physician who is a member of the same family as her father. He tells her that he cannot see her beautiful face because he has been beaten by the enemy. He says that he will play the role of the groom and go to the house of Tenjuin, but that he has to split his mask so that the enemy will not recognize him. He then asks if he can rub some makeup on his face to make him look more handsome. He wants to find a bride and replace both of them. They decide that they must stop the evil deeds of the seven spears first and then shame akinari for his evil deeds.
