In this scene, the two young men are waiting for the magic show to begin. When they finally get to the front of the stage, they find that it's not Lin who stepped on their foot, but a silly cat. They're worried that the show will go off without a hitch, and they decide to take the cat back to the circus to train him. The cat is so excited to be back in the circus that he's even more excited when he sees that they're wearing the same clothes he was wearing when he first arrived in town. The two men decide to ask the owner of the circus why they lied to him about their lack of family and friends. The owner agrees to keep them, and the two men pretend that they don't know each other.
