In this chapter, the gang discusses how they're going to break the "corrupted chain" of captivity. First, they'll get the right to manage the hostages, which will make it easier for them to capture and kill the "damn hyungwoo" . Second, they want to make sure that the house head doesn't have too much power over the people who are being held hostage. And third, they don't want to kill the guy just because he's a human. They just want to show that he can't do what he wants. They're not going to kill him just for the sake of killing him, though. They want to be able to control the situation so that they can kill him when he does want to. They also want to test their abilities against the guy's "strong scent" , which is a vampire's ability to sense the presence of other vampires. They can even use it as a weapon, but it's not nearly as effective as a vampire can use it. Finally, they decide that they need to "just squeeze out the bit after h . . hey let't be so drastic." They'll just have to "embolden" themselves with the scent.
