In this chapter, we learn that Victor has become aware of his father's intentions. He has decided to go to Victor's house to protect him from his father. He asks Victor to stay with him for a few days so that they can discuss the situation. He also tells Victor that he will be using his vacation days to travel to New York to meet with some of his friends.
