This chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which the protagonist is in the middle of a web-surfing adventure when he encounters Kim hyungwoo. He is overcome with fear and panic as he realizes that this is the first time he has encountered a "real" vampire. He realizes that he has to live with Kim for the rest of his life, and he wonders why he always looks for a "kin among low-lifes."
