In this chapter, Luo Ling explains that she has been training with her ice affinity for the past year, but that she is still not very good at it. She wakes her boss, who tells her that a fight is about to begin between a tenth grader and a seventh grader. The seventh grader is trying to stop the fight, but the tenth grader intervenes and stops the fight. Ling notices that the battle royal has not been held for over a hundred years, and she wants to know what it is like.
