The next morning, Dr. Rivers and his men prepare to leave for the battlefield. They are surprised to find that the captain is still alive, but they are not sure if he is dead or alive again. Rivers tells his men that he will not be able to use his spiritual power anymore because of the current state of affairs. He says that he must kill the remaining soldiers before the captain arrives.
