In this chapter, Ren tells us that he's going to be the first person to board a starship. He tells Ren that the kid's dad is a member of the intelligence agency, which means that he knows a lot about the academy. Ren says that this kid wants to tell Ren about his family, and Ren wants to know if Ren is worthy of being a leader. Ren thinks this kid is trying to say something, but he doesn't know what it is. He says that Ren has been observing Ren for a long time, and that Ren is very assertive, so Ren is sure that Ren will leave the team if Ren does not meet Ren's standards. Ren tells the kids to go to the lounge of the starship, because the kid on the left looks alert. He's the son of the guy who framed Ren, Ren says. Ren also says that the guy on the right looks alert, too, because his grandfather is a pillar of the army's martial family. Ren compares the two kids, saying that they're not the strongest in class, but Ren thinks they are pretty capable. Ren suggests that Ren find a way to pit his men against the kid.
