In this chapter, the students discuss their progress in the tournament. They discuss how each of the four students is stronger than the last, and each of them has a chance to be the top student at the end of the tournament, but they decide to wait until the last minute to try and do so. They also discuss the fact that the tournament is being held in the middle of winter, which means that the students will have to stay up all night practicing their fighting moves.
