After the battle, Ling Ling explains to the instructor that he has lost, and that he will remember his kindness. Ling Ling says that the instructor should have taught the impertinents a lesson, but that he is the one who prevented them from being humiliated. The instructor tells Ling Ling Ling to confine himself, and Ling Ling agrees. Four days later Ling Ling arrives at his destination.
