In this chapter, the audience is introduced to Desdemona, the main character of the story. She is a young woman who has been orphaned by her family. She has been raised by her father, who is a physician, to be a good role model for her younger siblings. She was born into a wealthy family, but her father died when she was a child, leaving her a widow and a single parent. She now has a son, a young man, and a daughter, who are all very young and inexperienced in the world of video games. When she is a teenager, she is sent away to live with her aunt and uncle, who live in a small village outside of town. She does not know how to interact with adults, and she is not very good at it. Her father, however, is very kind to her, treating her as a
