In this chapter, we learn that the cat in the picture is called "kasha" because the driver of the car is a cat. The cat's name is "puppet" , which means "paws," and "pipsqueak" meaning "dog." We learn that cats were believed to go after dead people, and that one day, a cat named "sama" showed up at the scene of the crime. We learn from the cat that he is a "humble reporter" and that he has come to report on the death of a "soul bound for hell" . He shows the cat some hot wheels, which he says are proof that he's in an American movie. He says that he feels like he is in a car chase and that the dead are looking at him with their eyes closed, which is inappropriate, but he does a good deal of "ill will" on the bereaved family.
