The chapter opens with a discussion of women's resentments and how they can be terrifying to men. The narrator says that women can be even more vengeful than men. He tells the story of a woman who was poisoned by her husband. She died in a rage and cursed her husband's realm of source. She cursed all of the big names in the Japanese horror industry, including kojiki, who vowed to kill one thousand people a day. He says that this is "poison bilge hell" and that it is famously betrayed women. He adds that he is sure that the women in this story can teach us something about punishing "deceivers" . The chapter ends with the narrator saying that he has always wanted to know why there are so many ghost stories on earth about women.
