The Governess tells the Governess that she likes the way the people eat. She tells him that they are a strange people, but she hopes that she will suit their needs. She asks him to take her for a walk later, and he agrees. He tells her that he will take her to a harpy, a demon bird, and then they will go for a stroll. He says that the harpies are similar to sailors who fall over themselves and over board a ship. He adds that the Europeans are like the sirens of hell and Hades. He also says that he came up with some signs that looked like they were from Europe. He compares them to the signs on the wall of a brothel. He then tells her a story about a group of Italians who meet back in the street at 2 a.m. and run off to fight with women. They shout at each other as if they are going to attack each other, but they do not come back. He asks why so many monsters try to do this to people, and she says that she does not understand why they do it. She then asks him if he would like to have some money for dinner. He replies that he does not have any. She says that her husband is her "precious wall" and that he has a chip on it. He is angry at her for leaving him alone with the man. He stops and says that it is one thing he cant let slide. He promises to do anything she says tonight.
