In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist, who goes by the name of "Hozukisama," has been working at a mortal realm office for a while. He's been getting his hair cut for work, and he's also been going to the annual god meeting, which is supposed to take place every year in a different part of town. The protagonist tells us that he wishes the meeting were more "pro-ductive" . He also tells us about the last time he went to the meeting, when he overheard Hozuki kunzuki talking to a woman named "Peachmaki" , who he thinks is a "woman union man." The protagonist wonders what kind of woman would want to marry a man like Hozuki, who is surrounded by "plenty of wonderful women." He also mentions that Hozuki's co-worker at the office, "actu ally," was talking to him about the upcoming matchmaking season. Hozuki was supposed to be writing the names of mortal men and women on union woman, but instead, he wrote "man" and "woman," and the protagonist turned on his "crystal mirror" to see what was going on. He thinks that the matchmaking season is "dead," and he decides to go get his manager.
