This is a locked chapterCHAPTER 12 HELL IDOL, PEACH MAKI
About This Chapter
The campanella is leaving soon, and the narrator asks the driver if he's the one who's been entertaining the passengers. The driver replies that he isn't, since he rescued a crane, wrestled a bear, rode a turtle, and tried to be a caboose. The narrator tells the driver that something's bothering him lately, and that he'll tell his manager about it later. The man thanks the narrator for being so kind, and then the narrator tells him that the man's hat looks like it's going to poop out his face. He's afraid not, but the narrator doesn't know where he is going, so he tells the man that he needs to raise the sale of the car. He also tells the narrator that an old woman steals eight items a day from the employees' pockets, and he wonders if she's an animal torturer in hell. He explains that there are two kinds of hells: repetition hell, where frauds are pestilence, and lesser hells, where vermin, airborne torture, and torture whirligig are the major crimes. And finally, there's imminent suffering hell, which is where people are going to die if they don't stop stealing.
