This is a locked chapterCHAPTER 20 THE BEAUTIFUL ALWAYS CRY FOR THE MOON
About This Chapter
The narrator introduces us to Hiroshi, a pretty young man who's been living in hell for a long time. He's got a pretty good idea of what's going on in hell: the police, hell's torture chamber, and the afterlife itself. We learn that Hiroshi is a member of a special police unit called the "crow tengu" , which means "police of the underworld" . He tells us that he's on his way to visit a friend of his named Sojobo, who is an old buddy of Hiroshi's. Hiroshi explains that he came to visit him because he'd heard that the police were looking for people who were trying to escape from hell. He also tells us about the famous monk, i.e., the guy who used to be a priest. He says that i.emon was arrested for plotting to kill him, but thanks Hiroshi for his help. As Hiroshi leaves, he wonders how he managed to get such a good looking body. He compares his appearance to the images of hell in all the famous paintings of the past. He wonders how a man could be so well-built when he was only a monk, and he wonders why he looked up to such a man.
