This is a locked chapterCHAPTER 44 EVEN DINOS ARE DEAD
About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a description of hell as a "be-hell bakery" . It's a place where the dead and the living are separated from one another. The bakery's owner, who's been there since the beginning of the book, introduces himself as "hakutakusama" , which means "old man." He explains that he's actually an old man, born in the "mamma-chi era" of Japan, which is the earliest known period in human history. He tells the bakery that he was the first person to be born in Japan, and that it's important to respect elders. He compares hell to the "fire fowl hell" of the dinosaur age, and says that the dead are being eaten by "1,000 long-neck don't one / This is dragon deci-mation hell . . a hell where dead are, well, decimated by dragons." He adds that the afterlife is also connected to hell.
