About This Chapter
It's cold outside, and Clara is worried about what's going to happen to her when she wakes up. She asks chi to carry her to the bed, but she doesn't know what to make of it. She's worried that chi just acted like nothing happened, and that he's not acting at all. Clara asks chi how he did so well in mad dog, and chi tells her that she must learn from him how to get into the character. He compares her to a cell with no source of water, and she's like a river that has no water source. She says that if she didn't understand the character, she wouldn't be able to flow. She tells chi that if he praises her, she'd be proud of herself, too, because it's too early to be proud. She compares chi to a man who's always ahead of her, and tells him that he hasn't done well in the past because he only wanted to be the best. Clara says that one day, she will catch up to him, and he'll be the one to do it.
