The chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which we learn that the two students had been fighting, and that they had been beaten up by one another. The flashback shows that the students were angry with one another for stealing their roles and for acting badly to each other. The two students are now friends, and the narrator tells us that they have once bitched about one another, but that this time, they have been able to be friends. The narrator then tells us about the fight, and how it was not bullying, but a fight between two people who had gotten into a fight. He says that he would have avoided the fight if he had been a student back in the day. He then asks about the plans for a birthday party for the young man, and he learns that the party will be for him.
