Before she goes to sleep, Clara wonders if she likes the people in her life. She asks herself if they are "different from other people" and if they "are a special friend" . The answer is yes, she says, and then she falls asleep. When she wakes up, she tells the others that the show has ended and that they should all go for a swim. She tells them that she will not force them to go to the reunion next week, but that she has an audition for Dante's film that day. Clara wonders why Dante never joined her classmates during their university days. She wonders if he would even come to their reunion if he could. She also wonders why he never joined them during their college days. Clara tells her that she is used to the petty and venomous behavior of Dante, and that only she can stand it. She thinks that Dante is more suitable for the role because he is a "man whose enviable beauty is anandrogynous"
