The unknown caller tells him that the ox tree, which is believed to be the ancestral tree of the gods, is located on an immortal mountain, and that it's safe to sleep there. The caller also tells the boy that if the white-tiger god wants to kill him, he'll have to raise his hand. The boy is worried that he's betraying the gods by sleeping in the tree, but the unknown caller assures him that he won't be able to do so.
